Episode 3 of Botany of Desire is out, thanks PBS.

It took eight years for Michael Pollan's Botany of Desire to be adapted for television, and it was well worth the wait. Part 3 of the PBS special focuses on an "incredibly valuable and interesting plant called cannabis."

Pollan traces marijuana's modern journey from Mexico to the U.S. to indoor cultivation to hybridization to Amsterdam with stops to explain the scientific discoveries of THC and cannabis receptors. "We wouldn't be the same if it were not for cannabis," he concludes.
